Jay Trainer Band
This time we are going to talk about one of those group that are trying hard to find a place in the music scene. The Jay Trainer Band shared an advance of his new work "Of the Sun", available for free downloading at their Twitter account.
They play an interesting combination of styles and sounds in this album, by effectively combining blues, rock and progressive influences, and as a result of all this they have a very genuine "American Sound".
They start with the song that gives its name to the album, a ballad with a sad and melancholic aura that will remain for most of the tracks. This opening song is one of "Of the Sun" big highlights, but not the only one.
"By Cover of a Great" is a rock song clearly influenced by Led Zeppelin. In "Soulful rights, Soulful Days" they shot flashes of progressive rock, and in "The Evening Wore one" they show their talent in an instrumental piece where the electric guitar takes the lead with reminiscences of Southern American rock that will delight your ears.
Definitely it's worth to discover and enjoy this band.

En esta ocasión vamos a hablar de uno de tantos grupos que luchan duramente por hacerse un hueco dentro del panorama musical. La banda en cuestión se llama Jay Trainer Band, que a través de Twitter nos hizo llegar un adelanto del que será su nuevo trabajo "Of the Sun", material que además podeis descargar gratuitamente a traves de se cuenta de Twitter.
Disco que entremezcla estilos bluseros, rockeros y progresivos, todo con un marcado sonido muy americano. En definitiva, muy trabajado, con variedad de estilos y sonidos como podréis comprobar.
Por ejemplo, el álbum abre con una balada, que da nombre al disco, con un aura triste y melancólico que nos acompañara durante toda la sesión, que será una de las señas de identidad del álbum, "By Cover of a Great" es un tema rock con claras influencias de Led Zeppelin, en "Soulful rights, Soulful Days" dejan muy buenos destellos de Rock progresivo, y en "The Evening Wore one" hacen un tema instrumental donde la guitarra eléctrica pasa a primer plano, con un sonido muy sureño, que hará las delicias para vuestros oídos.
