Donna Summer
En esta ocasión voy a rendir tributo a la magnífica cantante Donna summer, que fue toda una institución dentro de la música pop y disco durante los años 70 y 80. Donna además de cantante era compositora, pianista y actriz, ganó cinco premiso Grammy durante su carrera, y fue también la primera artista en tener tres discos consecutivos en alcanzar el número uno de ventas en las listas americanas, vendiendo además durante su extensa carrera más de 150 millones de discos en todo el mundo.Poco más se puede decir de esta prolífica artista que no se sepa.
Cierto que su género musical fue tanto el pop como la música disco. Pero dentro de su extensa discografía hay un tema que desde la primera vez que lo escuche, hace ya muchos años, me llamó poderosamente la atención y me encandiló. Dicho tema me llegó por medio de los típicos cassettes dobles recopilatorios que se vendían como churros durante las navidades, el tema en cuestión se llamaba Hot Stuff.

Hot Stuff se publicó como primer sencillo del álbum Bad Girls de Donna en 1979. La peculiaridad que tiene este tema, y por el que supongo que llamó por aquél entonces mi atención subconscientemente, era como dije anteriormente que Donna era conocida por ser una de las artistas más importantes de la música disco, y en este tema introdujo algo novedoso que no había hecho antes, el uso de la guitarra eléctrica haciendo así un guiño al Rock. Un tema que se haría famoso por aparecer en la banda sonora de la aclamada película Full Monty en 1995.
Fue un tema con el que Donna consiguió dos cosas en 1980, el Grammy a la mejor interpretación femenina de Rock y ser la primera artista afroamericana en conseguir tal hazaña. Es un tema que cada vez que lo escucho hace que además de darme buen rollo hace que mis pies se empiecen a mover solos, automáticamente, inducidos y encantados como lo hace el encantador con las serpientes.
